These are the latest Magicard Prima 4 / Prima 8 drivers for 300DPI and 600 DPI versions.

 

  • 300dpi printer models are denoted on the rear label as: CX-D80, CX-D80S or CX-D80D

 

  • 600dpi printer models are denoted on the rear label with an ‘H’  [CX-D80H]

 

  • Note: Drivers are specific to each model. The 600dpi driver will not work with or enhance the print quality of a 300dpi printer.

It was strange what my problem was but support was quick to isolate it with a few pics sent to them. Very happy with the support.

4 stars were given because the printer was literally bought a month and a half ago and instead of just swapping it out with a new one, we had to go through the manufacturers warranty process. I will say, from the time I shipped it out to the time I got it back was great. Hardly any time passed.

Support were very helpful but sadly we didn't manage to get the 2010 machine working again and I had to buy a new machine.

In all fairness, as my question was the opposite of what MagiCard would like to achieve I wasn't really expecting a comprehensive answer. Even though I did not get a solution to my question, the answer was well formulated and even offered some alternatives inducing the effect the alternative would have to the print quality.
