To keep the printer performing at it's best, it is important to ensure both the printer firmware and driver versions are current.
a. Upgrading the printer firmware:
If the printer is connected to a computer with internet access, the firmware can be checked (and upgraded if necessary) by the end user. This can be done as follows:
Open the "Devices and Printers" window, right-click on the installed printer icon and select the "Printing Preferences" option.
At this point, if a later firmware version is detected on the Magicard website, the user will be prompted to upgrade the printer's firmware. (The upgrade process usually only takes several seconds after which, the printer will re-initialise with the new firmware version installed).
b. Upgrading the printer driver:
The latest printer driver can be downloaded from the Magicard website using the link: https://support.magicard.com/
Before upgrading the driver, the end user will first need to enter the printer serial number.
