Could not move the Printhead
As part of the print process, the printhead needs to both lift and lower onto the card each time a colour panel on the dye film is wound on. Error code 08:00 is generated if, for some reason, the printhead is unable to move as it should.
The cause may not be the printer but rather, an incorrect type of power supply lead connected to the printer. (This error is generally more likely if printers or Laptops etc. have been moved around an office. Very often, Laptop power leads have the same industry-standard power plug as the printer, which can cause confusion).
The first thing to check would be the black power supply lead and in particular, the black rectangular box attached to the lead. This box should have a label bearing the name "Sunpower" and a yellow '90W' tag label (this is the correct type for the printer - please also see image below).
If a different power lead is used (such as that used with a Laptop PC), then it's likely that power supply will not be powerful enough to move the printhead in the printer.
