Your printer is failing to initialise the Dye Film successfully and requires a firmware update.

  1. Ensure your printer is connected via USB; powered on and Ready.
    Note:  If the error is displayed continuously on the LCD even after a power reset > press and release the black button on the back to reset communications.
  2. Navigate to the latest firmware on our web-site using the link:
    https://support.magicard.com/solution/rio2e-tango2e-firmware/
  3. Download the file to your pc and run the firmware file (the .exe file).
    On the printer lcd screen ‘downloading‘ will be seen followed by a ‘initialising‘.
  4. When the printer has restarted and shows ‘Ready‘:
    Then test print can be carried out by pressing and releasing the black button on the back of the printer (above the Ethernet port).
