Error 2:5 | Out of Cards

Error code 2:5 is raised when feeding a card from the rear hopper because it took too long to trigger the rear sensor.

Note: Feeding from the rear hopper only, Not hand feeding from the front, Error 2:5 can only be raised with hand feed set to off.

 

Most often a manual clean of the rear feed roller will rectify the issue.  Please see the cleaning videos below.

What cards are you using?  Self Adhesive?  Try switching a new pack of plain cards.


If the issue remains:

This check will help by checking the roller turns, can you see it turn and hear the motor?

  1. Remove the card hopper
  2. Pop the lid slightly open (not all the way – just not clicked shut)
  3. Press Menu
  4. Choose Turn Rollers
    • Pressing the UP (reverse) arrow button will rotate the printer’s rollers in reverse.
    • This will also rotate the rear feed roller. *Note: the feed roller will correctly only turn in reverse (up arrow), it will not rotate forwards (down arrow) to prevent ingress of cards, fingers etc…

Can you hear the motor when you press the up arrow?
Can you see the roller rotate when you press the up arrow?
