This error is generated when the fitted printhead is not detected by the printer.
There are two likely causes for this error:
a. An intermittent connection to the rear of the printhead assembly.
Power the printer off and remove the black power lead from the rear of the printer. (Where possible, take precautions to avoid anti-static charge build-up which can damage sensitive electronic components).
Carefully check the rear cable connection to the printhead assembly. If the rear connector appears loose, gently re-seat the connector into the rear of the printhead assembly (do not force the connector if any resistance is met).
b. The rear connection to the printhead appears normal but the original problem persists.
In this case, the likely cause is an internal fault within the printhead assembly itself. The best option would be to contact Magicard Technical Support for further assistance.
