Correct PSU Power Supply

Your Magicard printer must only be used with the correct Power Supply.

  • The wrong PSU can:
  • Cause Faint or Light Printing: Light printing
  • Create errors (commonly 16:00 Can’t lift head: Can’t lift print head)
  • Permanently damage your printers Controller PCB
  • Invalidate your printers warranty

The PSU must be exactly as shown below:


Direct to Card Printers

1st generation Rio Pro & All 2nd generation printers

2nd Gen Magicard DTC Printer

 

 

*Pronto ONLY if the serial number does NOT contain a Letter, and is formatted as just 8 digits, like this: 12345678

  • DC Output: 24V 3.75A
  • Yellow 90w tag
  • Part Number: E9372

The label on the PSU should be like this:

 SUNPOWER 24v 3.75A

*Pronto ONLY if the serial number DOES contain a letter, like: 12F1234

In all fairness, as my question was the opposite of what MagiCard would like to achieve I wasn't really expecting a comprehensive answer. Even though I did not get a solution to my question, the answer was well formulated and even offered some alternatives inducing the effect the alternative would have to the print quality.

We ended up not getting the piece repaired due to the cost but support was great about getting back to me which I appreciate.
