Set a Static IP Address
How to set a Static IP address or change from Static to Dynamic.
Your printer must be Ethernet Enabled: denoted with an E in the printers display.
You will need the ID Card Printer Support Utility, linked in the related article below.
- Connect the printer directly to the PC via USB
- With the printer Ready:
- Open the Support Utility
- Select USB for connection method
- OK to the splash screen
- Go to the Ethernet tab:Here you can enter your preferred network settings
- Click Save to Flash to save the data to the printer
- Disconnect the Printer Power lead
- Remove the USB cable
- Plug in the Ethernet network cable (cannot have both simultaneously)
- Reconnect the power lead, and now your printer can be connected to via the network...
