Problems with photo quality in Grosvenor Software

Written By Mark Lescano

When printing from Grosvenor Technologies Software (all variants) photos can look very pixilated, saturated or generally very low compressed.

Importantly, all the other colour elements of the card design print fine.

The Grosvenor application applies 'an amount' of sharpening to your photos and so does the Magicard driver, which results in the pixelated effect. This can easily be rectified by turning off the "Sharpening" feature in the Magicard Driver Settings:

Close the Grosvenor Technologies Software Application.
  1. Go to Control Panel > View devices and printers
  2. Right click on the Magicard Printer icon and select Printing Preferences
  3. In the 'Image' section:
    • Reduce the 'Sharpness' slider from "0" to "-2" and save the settings.
  4. Re-launch the software and re-test.
    • Your photos should look perfect :-)

*Note:  If you also print to your Magicard printer from elsewhere other than Grosvenor then you may need to set the driver sharpness back up to zero.
