How to | Installing Printer Firmware

The homepage for your specific printer model printer model will display the latest firmware. 

This page demonstrates how to install that firmware file into your printer.

This guide to installing the latest Printer Firmware (system software) is for all current Magicard printers and their variants:

^{* and Pronto where:  serial is 8 digits like 12345678 and contains no letters. MK2 is written on the base label.
⚠ If your Pronto has aletter in the serial number, like '75F1234', then please follow this link for firmwares files and info.}

Update Procedure

Download the .prn file from your specific printers page on this site.

1. Control Panel > View Devices and Printers.
2. Right click on the printer icon and Select Printer Properties. 
   
   
   
   
3. in Tools Tab > Print PRN section.
   Browse to the downloaded .prn file (previously downloaded) and select it.
   
   
   
   
4. Then click PRINT to send the update to the printer: 

The printer will receive the .PRN file and after a short time will display: 'UPDATING'

⚠️ DO NOT POWER THE PRINTER OFF ⚠️

Be patient, once the update is complete the printer will reboot itself.

You have successfully updated the printer's system software and you can confirm the version from: 
Menu > More > Software info.
