Windows Driver If you are getting 2502 / 250_ from the MSI Installer then you may be installing the driver while using a restricted user account that doesn’t have enough rights / privileges.

The error is basically saying you have insufficient rights to be able to write to the Windows Temp folder.
This location is required on your local PC Drive to extract files while the driver is installing.

Solution

You should log into the PC with a local admin account (computer administrator) (just to install the printer).
Contact your IT department if required.

Once the driver is installed, you should be able to revert back to a normal user account and still be able to use the printer.

*Alternatively, you could use the ‘bare driver files’ which does not use the MSI installer:
