Your replacement printhead may appear differently to the old head due to how the heads have evolved over time.

If your old printhead did not have the connector shown opposite and the new head does have it, then don't worry as you can ignore this printhead connector for a printer without the drain wire to connect to it.

The printhead simply had an updated drain wire to allow use across our model ranges with the addition of this connector:



Another update over time have been to the heatsink within the printhead assembly. One to remove the coloured anodising (left to middle) and more recently moved to a cast head (right).  The latest printhead is fully backwards compatible into an older printer.
