This is the latest driver for the older Opera model printers with an 'E' in the serial number.

Compatible with both 32 bit and 64 bit Microsoft Windows operating systems:

Windows 8
Windows 7
Vista
Windows XP
2003 Server / 2008 Server

My Opera does not have an 'E' in the serial number?

The original Driver can be found here: Alto/Opera/Tempo Non-E Driver v1.40

But the latest OS supported for that driver is Windows Vista. If you have a later OS you can follow the steps below to use your non 'e' printer with 1.7.2. Before this v1.7.2 driver can be installed and used with a Non 'E' printer there are three simple steps Upgrade your printers Firmware:

You need to change your Alto printer's Product ID (PID) from 2000 to 2800.

This can be done using the ID Card Printer Support Utility, also see the related article linked below for that.

Caution must be taken when typing the new PID so please see Full Instructions for changing the PID below.
